The Intentional Instructor™

A competency-based certification that develops instructors who create transformation, not just information — because teaching is not the transfer of knowledge. It is the creation of understanding that leads to action.

What this program helps you do

Design and deliver learning experiences that help people apply what they learn. This competency-based certification spans eight modules and roughly sixty lessons, covering preparation, facilitation, communication, delivery environments, and measurement. Instructional Design

The problem
I know my subject, but I'm not always sure how to organize what I know into a clear and structured learning experience.

The outcome
A well-designed learning experience that makes complex knowledge easier to understand and learn.

Role Clarity & Flexibility

The problem
I tend to teach in the same way throughout a session, and I'm not always sure which role learners need from me at different points in their development.

The outcome
The ability to shift appropriately and fluidly among educating, instructing, training, coaching, and facilitating to help learners progress.

Make Learning Relevant & Engaging

The problem
I know the information is important, but learners don't always see why it matters to them or remain engaged.

The outcome
Greater learner interest, participation, motivation, and commitment to learning.

Appropriate Accountability

The problem
Learners may understand the material during the program, but they do not always follow through or use it afterward.

The outcome
Greater learner follow-through and improved life and workplace application of the knowledge and skills learned.

Meaningful Feedback

The problem
I'm not always able to tell whether the instruction actually improved someone's capability or performance.

The outcome
Clearer evidence of learner progress and continuous improvement in instructional effectiveness.
